Trying to build on his stardom as the lupine Jacob in the "Twilight" movies, Taylor Lautner is mildly successful in this melodrama from director John Singleton ("Boyz n the Hood") about a young man who goes on the lam with a friend (Lily Collins) when he finds he was kidnapped as a youngster.
Determined to uncover his true past, he's pursued by forces both friendly and not-so-much; the expert supporting cast includes Sigourney Weaver, Alfred Molina and Maria Bello ("Prime Suspect"). DVD extras: two "making-of" documentaries; outtakes; "production journal." *** (PG-13: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray and Movies on Demand)
