Television has had its share of funny cops, but two of the most legendary remain Toody and Muldoon, who were played by Joe E. Ross (he of "Ooh, ooh!" excitability) and Fred Gwynne in this classic early-1960s sitcom from humor veteran Nat Hiken.
The New York patrol partners manage to make things come out right, though virtually all of their missions are complicated by unexpected hijinks; Al Lewis, who would play Grandpa to Gwynne's Herman in "The Munsters" later, also is in the cast. *** (Not rated)
