"How I Met Your Mother" co-star Jason Segel has been making big strides lately in his movie career, thanks to "The Muppets," "The Five-Year Engagement" and this lower-key comedy from filmmaking siblings Jay and Mark Duplass.
Segel has the title role of a slacker who does indeed reside with his mother (Susan Sarandon) and embarks on a revelatory quest with his married salesman brother (Ed Helms, "The Office"). By the time it's over, each man will have made a major reassessment of his station in life. Judy Greer, Rae Dawn Chong and Mark Duplass' wife and frequent colleague, Katie Aselton, also are featured. *** (R: AS, P) (Also on Blu-ray and Movies on Demand)
