Though it seems Miley Cyrus has been quiet on the theatrical film front lately, she's front and center in this coming-of-age comedy-drama, inspired by a French film of the same name.
Her character's name is Lola - thus the "Lol" nickname that also plays into the texting craze - and she starts a new year of high school wondering if she has deeper feelings for her best friend (Douglas Booth). Demi Moore plays her mother in a cast that also includes Ashley Greene ("Twilight") and Thomas Jane ("Hung"). DVD extras: three "making-of" documentaries; audio commentary by director Lisa Azuelos and co-stars Ashley Hinshaw and Lina Esco. *** (PG-13: AS, P) (Also on Blu-ray and Movies on Demand)
