"Flight of the Conchords" star Jemaine Clement will make a logical pairing with "Napoleon Dynamite" director Jared Hess on the comedy "Gentlemen Broncos."
In addition to Hess, the "Gentlemen Broncos" cast will include Michael Angarano and Sam Rockwell, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Scripted by Hess and wife Jerusha Hess, the film is about a high school outcast (Angarano) who goes to a writers camp only to have his best story stolen by a famous fantasy novelist (Clement).
Rockwell will play the main character of the story, both as he appears in the teen's version and how the author reimagines him.
Production will begin in March.
In addition to his role as one of the co-creators and stars of "Conchords" (he plays Jemaine, in case you hadn't guessed), Clement also starred in the comedy "Eagle vs. Shark."
Angarano's credits include "Lords of Dogtown" and "Sky High," plus the upcoming Jet Li/Jackie Chan team-up "The Forbidden Kingdom."
Rockwell starred in the recent Sundance pick-up "Choke," plus recent Sundance films like "Joshua" and "Snow Angels." The "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" star also has "Frost/Nixon" on tap for a 2008 release.
