Jessica Simpson, whose film "Blonde Ambition" did poorly at the box office, will live another day to create more quality films.
The singer-actress was hospitalized for a kidney infection but is now released and "doing fine," reports People.
Simpson, 27, suffered a fever and was admitted into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center last Friday, March 28, when she was treated for the kidney infection.
Simpson has been focusing on her singing career lately. In early March she performed for the troops in Iraq and she's currently working on a country album.
Her movie career won't suffer though. This summer she headlines the comedy "Major Movie Star" and makes an appearance in "The Love Guru" alongside Michael Myers.
