Fast National ratings for Tuesday, June 3, 2008
CBS and FOX waged another close race for the ratings crown Tuesday, with "Hell's Kitchen" leading FOX to a demographic victory.
CBS snagged the overall title with a 5.7 rating/9 share among households, beating out FOX's 5.0/8. NBC finished third at 3.9/7. ABC, 2.7/5, took fourth, and The CW trailed with a 1.1/2.
FOX easily won the adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.6 rating. CBS was second at 1.7, edging NBC's 1.6. ABC averaged 1.3 and The CW 0.6.
A repeat of "NCIS," 6.2/11, put CBS on top at 8 p.m. "The Moment of Truth" drew a 4.4/7 for FOX. NBC's "Most Outrageous Moments" earned a 3.7/6, topping the 2.8/5 for a pair of "According to Jim" episodes on ABC. The CW went with a "Beauty and the Geek" repeat.
FOX took the lead at 9 p.m. with "Hell's Kitchen," 5.6/9 (it was also the night's top show in viewers, 9.3 million, and adults 18-49, with a 4.4 rating). CBS got a 5.5/9 from "48 Hours Mystery." A repeat of "Law & Order: SVU" kept NBC in third. An hour of "Samantha Who?" averaged 2.8/5 for ABC, while "Reaper" scored a 1.1/2 for The CW.
At 10 p.m., CBS' "Without a Trace" rerun posted a 5.3/9 to beat a second "Law & Order: SVU" (4.0/7) on NBC. A "Boston Legal" repeat came in at 2.7/5 for ABC.
