Ray Wise, who played Vice President Hal Gardner on "24," won't play second fiddle for his latest project.
The actor has come aboard the CW pilot "The Reaper" to play the Prince of Darkness himself.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Reaper" is a comedic drama about a slacker who somehow becomes the devil's (Wise) bounty hunter.
Wise joins the already cast Bret Harrison ("The Loop") -- who's playing the lead character -- and Tyler Labine ("Boston Legal," "Flyboys") in the pilot.
Wise, 59, has a lengthy TV resume that also includes stints on "Dallas," "The A-Team," "Knots Landing," "Twin Peaks," "The Larry Sanders Show," "Star Trek: Voyager," "Dawson's Creek," "The West Wing," "CSI," "Law & Order: SVU," "Bones" and "Shark." On the big screen, he's appeared in "Robocop," "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me," "Rising Sun," "Jeepers Creepers 2" and "Good Night, and Good Luck."
