NBC's sophomore drama " Lipstick Jungle" will get a shot of energy this fall in the form of Rosie Perez.
The Oscar-nominated actress will appear in multiple episodes of the series, beginning with its second-season premiere Wednesday, Sept. 24. It will mark her first network appearance since she guest-starred on an episode of "Frasier" in 2004.
Perez will play fashion designer Victory Ford's (Lindsay Price) new publicist, Dahlia, who makes it her mission to pull Victory out of her funk and bring a "successful attitude" to her life.
Perez earned an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress for her work in the 1993 film "Fearless." Her movie credits also include "Do the Right Thing," "White Men Can't Jump" and the upcoming " Pineapple Express," which hits theaters next month.
On TV, she earned three Emmy nominations for choreography on "In Living Color" and co-starred in the HBO movie "Lackawanna Blues."
"Lipstick Jungle" will also feature guest-starring turns this fall from TV icon Mary Tyler Moore, who's playing the mother of Brooke Shields' character; Carlos Ponce ("7th Heaven") as a love interest for Victory; and James Lesure ("Las Vegas") as a "new boss," according to executive producer Oliver Goldstick.
