Sylvester Stallone is expected to direct Jason Statham and Jet Li in the action thriller "The Expendables."
In addition to helming the Nu Image/Millennium Films feature, Stallone will also co-star.
Heck, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Stallone even wrote "The Expendables," which focuses on a group of mercenaries sent to take out the dictator of a small South American country.
Production on "The Expendables" will begin in February with shooting in Costa Rica and Louisiana.
The trade says that Stallone has a two-picture deal with Nu Image/Millennium and the second film is expected to be another "Rambo" feature.
Li and Statham previously starred together in 2007's "War."
Upcoming films for the busy Statham include "Transporter 3," "Crank 2: High Voltage" and "13."
Li appeared in "The Forbidden Kingdom" and "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" earlier this year.
