Fast National ratings for Monday, Feb. 23, 2009
Monday's ratings held few surprises, with FOX scoring the night's top spot thanks to "House" and ABC grabbing a solid second in the 18-49 demo.
FOX earned a 7.9 rating/12 share for the night, and its 13.1 million viewers put it solidly ahead of second-place ABC, 6.6/10 and 9.8 million viewers. A night of reruns on CBS drew a 6.1/10. NBC took fourth at 4.6/7, and The CW trailed at 0.9/1.
FOX also led among adults 18-49 with a 4.6 rating. ABC took second in the key ad demographic with a 3.6. CBS and NBC tied for third at 2.7, while The CW managed only a 0.5.
"House" grabbed the night's biggest audience at 8 p.m. with an 8.9/14. "The Bachelor: The Women Tell All" finished a decent second at 7.1/11. Reruns of "The Big Bang Theory" and "How I Met Your Mother" averaged 5.0/8 for CBS. "Chuck" drew a 4.0/6 for NBC. A "Gossip Girl" rerun on The CW was well off the pace.
ABC moved to the lead at 9 p.m. with "The Bachelor," 7.5/11. FOX's "24" scored a 6.9/10, edging reruns of "Two and a Half Men," 7.6/11, and "The New Adventures of Old Christine," 6.0/9, on CBS. "Heroes" mustered only a 4.4/7 for NBC. The CW aired a "One Tree Hill" repeat.
A "CSI: Miami" rerun, 6.6/10, gave CBS the lead at 10 p.m. "Medium" delivered a 5.4/9 for NBC, beating the 5.1/9 for the "True Beauty" finale on ABC.
