Bruce Willis is reportedly in negotiations to topline Lionsgate's adaptation of the popular videogame "Kane and Lynch: Dead Men."
Willis would play Adam "Kane" Marcus, a death row inmate who escapes with the help of paranoid schizophrenic murderer James Lynch. After their escape, the two men are put to work by a mysterious organization called The7 and they're sent on an international mission.
Eidos Entertainment premiered the game last November to mixed critical reception and strong sales.
Kyle Ward wrote the "Kane and Lynch" adaptation and producers hope to have cameras rolling by the end of the year.
According to the industry trades, the project will be directed by Simon Crane, a veteran second unit helmer and stunt coordinator who cut his teeth on films like "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," "X-Men: The Last Stand" and the upcoming "Hancock."
Willis is currently shooting "The Surrogates" for director Jonathan Mostow. The "Hudson Hawk" star was last seen in "Planet Terror," "Live Free or Die Hard" and "Perfect Stranger."
