Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston are expected to star in Fox 2000's "Marley & Me."
Based on the John Grogan bestseller, the project focuses on a couple who adopt a yellow lab named Marley. Instead of proving how ready they are for parenting, Marley turns the couple's life upside down amidst endless hilarity and life-lesson-learning.
According to Variety, Wilson and Aniston are in final talks as the studio attempts to throw together a cast and launch production with a potential strike looming.
Scott Frank ("The Lookout") is adapting with "On the Lot" guest judge David Frankel ("The Devil Wears Prada") set to direct.
Production could begin early next year.
Aniston has been busy in recent weeks, booking a lead in "Management" opposite Steve Zahn and joining the ensemble of "He's Just Not That Into You."
Wilson is currently filming "Tropic Thunder" for Ben Stiller and will next appear in Wes Anderson's "The Darjeeling Limited" and in the Judd Apatow-produced "Drillbit Taylor."
