Guests at this hotel march in the Hollywood Christmas Parade

Share

You can snag a spot in the 86th Hollywood Christmas Parade without having to master baton twirling.

The Hollywood Hotel in East Hollywood offers guests who stay two nights a chance to march along the 3 1/2-mile red carpet along Hollywood and Sunset boulevards on Nov. 30.

Stevie Wonder is the grand marshal this year in the annual parade, which benefits the Toys for Tots program. The Hollywood Hotel team will be carrying Elf on the Shelf balloons this year. The parade also will include balloons of the Minions from “Despicable Me” films and children’s book characters Caillou and Archibald Mouse.

The parade will be televised and broadcast later on KTLA-TV at 8 p.m. Dec. 19 and 3 p.m. Dec. 21.

Guests who want in on the parade must stay two nights (one of which must be Nov. 30). Rooms start at $154 a night plus tax and come with a buffet breakfast, Wi-Fi and a T-shirt and holiday hat to wear in the parade.

Use the promo code XMAS when making a reservation. (I checked online and found a nonsmoking room with one queen-sized bed at the starting rate.)
