State Center, the "Rose Capital of Iowa," will hold its 51st Rose Festival with a rose queen competition, carnival rides, a parade down Main Street and other family-friendly activities on a two-acre site full of roses. Bill Monroe Memorial Bluegrass Festival
Take a trip to Bean Blossom, the Mecca of bluegrass music, for the 43rd annual music-filled celebration. More than 50 bluegrass musicians will perform, including Grammy Award winners Dan Tyminski and Ralph Stanley. Bring your lawn chairs, sit back and enjoy the pickin' and jammin'.
