Explore Norway’s villages with ‘Frozen’s’ Anna and Elsa on Disney cruises

Share

If you’re so over Elsa and Anna from the Disney film “Frozen,” read no further.

But for those who think a cruise to Norway’s fjords with the fictional sisters would be heaven, here’s your chance.

Disney Cruise Line announced a series of shore excursions for Disney Magic’s sailings to Norway and, for the first time, Iceland, between June and August.

Shore excursions cost extra, of course, and some are exclusive to Disney passengers. Some examples:

--Alesund, Norway: The land that inspired the 2013 film is the site of a summer celebration at the Sunnmore Open Air Museum. Anna, Elsa and Kristoff appear with passengers who have an opportunity to tour the museum’s old houses, dance to live music and sample local foods. ($299 to $359 per person)

--Olden, Norway: A visit to the Norwegian Fjord Horse Center to tour the stables and see the small, strong horses as well as a riding performance. ($65 to $129 per person)

--Geiranger, Norway: Paddle through the Geirangerfjord in a two-person kayak to see the waters firsthand. Waterfalls and mountains are all part of the landscape on the adventure. ($119 per person)

--Rekjavik, Iceland: Visit a local lava field and lava factory to see the forces of volcanoes up close. You’ll also have an opportunity to make something artistic with lava during an art workshop. ($179 to $209 per person)

The line’s Magic and Wonder ships also will host on-board activities with characters Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and the snowman Olaf. Selected sailings will have snowmen-building parties and a scavenger hunt called “Anna’s Chase for the Chocolate.”

Seven-night Norwegian Fjord Cruises start at $3,182 per person, including tax and fees.
