If you skipped Europe this summer because airfares were too high, this may be a deal too good to pass up. Aer Lingus launched a fare sale Thursday with a sweet off-season price starting at $749 round-trip for Los Angeles-Dublin flights.

The deal: The airfare, also offered from Boston or New York for $499 round-trip, starts at $749 and applies to travel between the chilly months of November and March.

Average temperatures top out around 45 to 50 degrees, so best to pack your woollies and a heavy coat. The price includes taxes and fees.

When: You need to book by 4 p.m. PDT Sept. 21, and travel between Nov. 1 and March 31.

Tested: I checked availability online Thursday and found flights for a Thanksgiving getaway (Nov. 21 outbound, returning Nov. 28) and for Valentine’s Day (Feb. 9 outbound, returning Feb. 16) for the $749 price.
