The beach is known to locals as Red Sandy Beach and can be found on the northeastern side of the island. Besides the extraterrestrial-like orange-reddish sand, Ramla Bay is known for the Roman ruins buried beneath its surface. Ramla Bay lacks nearby hotels and tourist developments, but the beach has snack bars and cafes. If you happen to visit one of the cafes, know that Roman ruins are buried beneath.
