Offbeat Traveler: London Olympics’ oddball Wenlock and Mandeville statues

Share

Eighty-three statues of Wenlock and Mandeville, mascots for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, have been installed around London as part of six color-coded Discovery Trails put together to help tourists and locales alike navigate the city on foot. The statues, each about six feet tall, are designed to reflect slices of London. There’s Trafalgar Wenlock, Flower Seller Mandeville, Busker Wenlock and Victorian Mandeville. Follow them around London to visit many of the city’s most popular attractions and discover some lesser-known sights.
