Zoo babies: Week-old giraffe, toddling elephant among baby animals
From San Diego to Washington, D.C., this spring brought numerous births to zoos across the country. Here are some of the new additions -- and some that are newly viewable. Take a peek and plan your zoo trip accordingly. Although visitors can see most of the animals pictured, not all of them are always on exhibit.

Wave hello to Molalla, or Mo for short, the first North American river otter born at the Oregon Zoo in Portland, Ore. Mo, named after an Oregon river, was born in late January and is pictured above getting a quick health check at a few weeks old. He can be seen at the zoo's Cascade Stream and Pond habitat.
