Ladies and gentlemen, start your sweet tooth. Cupcake aficionados and others are being invited to taste and help judge the Las Vegas Cupcake Bakeoff on Sunday.

From noon to 3 p.m. more than 100 bakers, amateurs and professionals, will compete for cash prizes at the bake-off, which will be at the Suncoast Hotel & Casino.

Ticketholders will be invited to taste the various creations and then select the top 10 contenders. The final round will be judged by a team of experts led by Justin Willman, host of Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars.” Willman has hosted the popular program for eight seasons.

An open bar will be provided during the competition, which benefits Three Square, a food bank serving southern Nevada. The event is sponsored by Gigi’s Cupcakes, a bakery with locations throughout the country, including Las Vegas.

Tickets, $20 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and younger, are available at the bake-off’s website.

The Suncoast (9090 Alta Drive, [702] 636-7111) is off Summerlin Parkway in northwest Las Vegas, about a 20- to 30-minute drive from the Strip.
