Las Vegas: D marks birthday with free concerts by Kid Rock and others

Share

Three free concerts will be staged at downtown’s Fremont Street Experience this month as the D Las Vegas celebrates its first anniversary.

The D, formerly known as Fitzgerald’s, reopened its doors last fall after a major renovation. It now features a two-story casino complete with dancing dealers and a lounge that may boast Nevada’s longest bar.

The concerts, which will be at the Fremont Street Experience’s 3rd Street Stage, kick off Sept. 26 with a performance by country rock musician Uncle Kracker, best known for the hit singles “Smile” and “Follow Me.”

The free entertainment continues Sept. 27 when Stone Temple Pilots take the stage along with singer Chester Bennington, who’s touring with the band for a second time.

The birthday party further heats up Sept. 28 when Kid Rock is expected to draw a large crowd.

All three shows begin at 9 p.m.
