The casinos may be waning, but apparently the romance isn’t for Atlantic City, N.J.

Restaurant reservation website OpenTable has declared the struggling gambling resort the most romantic place to eat in the U.S.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the website on Wednesday released its 2015 Most Romantic Cities in America -- and Atlantic City came out on top.

The city could use a little love.

Last year four of its 12 casinos closed, including the glittery Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie last month appointed a “turnaround team” to help the city avoid bankruptcy, Reuters reports.

Others in the top 25 for romantic dining include these California cities: Palm Springs (No. 8), Santa Barbara (No. 14), West Hollywood (No. 16) and Long Beach (No. 23).

The rest of the 10 most romantic cities:

2. San Antonio

3. Providence, R.I.

4. Key West, Fla.

5. Birmingham, Ala.

6. Louisville, Ky.

7. Newport, R.I.

8. Palm Springs

9. Austin, Texas

10. Lahaina, Maui

Cities were ranked by looking at the percentage of restaurants called “romantic” in user reviews on the website, the percentage of tables for two at restaurants, and the percentage of people who ate out on Valentine’s Day last year, an OpenTable statement says.
