If you're planning on skiing or snowboarding for the holidays, check out the sale Liftopia kicked off today (Tuesday). Discounts are for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at selected ski resorts in California, Utah, Colorado and other parts of the country.
The deal: Here are some sample prices available during the sale:
--$47.99 for Arapahoe Basin and Durango Mountain in Colorado
--$45 for Sierra at Tahoe and Diamond Peak (which plans to open top to bottom Thursday) in California
--$58.99 at Snowbird in Utah
--$23.99 at Wyoming's Grand Targhee Resort.
When: The sale is good through Dec. 24.
Tested: I couldn't check availability for lift tickets before the sale launched, but I did check some prices against what lift tickets usually cost. According to ski resort websites, Grand Targhee lift tickets cost $69 and Snowbird costs $85 (prices quoted are for all-day adult tickets).
