Where's the best place to spend Valentine's Day? Social media site Foursquare combed through 3 billion check-ins to find that San Francisco, New Orleans and New York City were deemed the most romantic cities in the U.S. The least appealing to lovebirds? Trenton, N.J.; Akron, Ohio; and Virginia Beach, Va. French restaurants, cupcake shops and wineries were found to be the most popular places to celebrate Valentine's Day. But for those who crave something different this year, here are 10 places to go and things to do on Cupid's big day.

Awww, these two snowboarders got married at the top of Snow Summit last year (here's the wedding video if you want to see more). Sweethearts rule this year at Snow Summit and Big Bear Mountain on Valentine's Day. The ski resorts near Big Bear Lake are offering 2-for-1 lift tickets available Tuesday to Thursday. You have to buy online and in advance to take advantage of the deal. Lift tickets for two adults cost $59 and $49 for two young adults.
