Valentine's Day: Where to go, from $5 to $1,500
Where's the best place to spend Valentine's Day? Social media site Foursquare combed through 3 billion check-ins to find that San Francisco, New Orleans and New York City were deemed the most romantic cities in the U.S. The least appealing to lovebirds? Trenton, N.J.; Akron, Ohio; and Virginia Beach, Va. French restaurants, cupcake shops and wineries were found to be the most popular places to celebrate Valentine's Day. But for those who crave something different this year, here are 10 places to go and things to do on Cupid's big day.

The upside to getting married on Valentine's Day: It's easy to remember your anniversary. Wedding capital Las Vegas has lots of options for planning a big day. The pop-up chapel at the Cosmopolitan at Las Vegas opens Monday with weddings and a three-tier cake for $495. Other Sin City options include a $777 wedding ceremony at the Neon Museum's boneyard of vintage Vegas signs.
