Deal: Week at all-inclusive Club Med as low as $728 during summer sale

Club Med has launched a summer sale on more than 50 all-inclusive resorts for summer and winter travel. Seven-day stays at selected sites are discounted as low as $768 per person -- as long as you make a reservation by June 25.

The deal: Bring on the Sun sale prices apply to a wide variety of destinations, from Florida and Mexico to Thailand and China. Some examples:

-- $828 per person at Turkoise in Turks & Caicos over Thanksgiving week (leaving anytime the week of Nov 23).

-- $899 per person at the Cancun resort during the first two weeks in October. Reservations are based on availability and some blackout dates apply.

-- $1,071 per person at Guilin in China, one of Club Med’s newest resorts, in June or October.

These resorts get good buzz on TripAdvisor, whose readers this year selected Cancun as a top family travel destination. Added benefit: Children 4 and younger stay free.

When: The offer is good through June 25 for resort stays through Dec. 19.

Tested: I checked various resorts for availability and savings. I found a weeklong stay at Cancun starting Oct. 1 that cost $1,798 for two and saves $750 off the regular price.

I also found seven days in Guilin starting June 15 that costs $2,142 for two and saves $920. Prices don’t include membership fees of $60 per adult and $30 per child.
