The AAA 2008 Vacation Costs Survey, which examines rates for more than 60,000 restaurants and lodgings, compiles a list of North America's least expensive cities to vacation in.

Here are the cities found to be the cheapest vacation spots. (Costs are based on average published prices for meals and lodgings for two adults.)

1. Tulsa, Okla.

Lodging: $116.42

Meals: $62.36

Total average daily cost: $178.78
