Guess that gulf: Where am I?
Here's a gull's-eye view of windy saltwater gulf (although some people prefer to call it a "sea") bordering a big binational empty space. One of the countries involved is the United States. You might never guess that one of the western hemisphere's great rivers dwindles to almost nothing near here. One more clue: Forty years ago, fishermen flocked here to pull 200-pound totuava from these waters, but now they're endangered (the totuava, that is) and it's illegal to catch them.
