Where Am I? Among cool tilework and warm Muslims
Aren't those repeating patterns on the walls fascinating? This is a city known for great old architecture. And it's a desert spot, which means not only high temperatures but also a long-standing tradition of hospitality. Any minute now, someone is going to offer these carefully draped American tourists a welcoming cup of tea. (Meanwhile, of course, this nation's leaders don't seem so friendly.) Where in the Islamic world could this be, and when?
