Where am I?: Good grub gobbled here
This is no plain old kitchen. This is the working end of a foodie shrine.
This restaurant opened in 1971 and gets credited for starting all sorts of culinary trends. New menu every day, fresh stuff trucked in from nearby, that sort of thing. (Who knows what contemplation and perspiration went into that stack of shiny red apples?) Its founder was born in New Jersey in 1944, yet its name was inspired by an obscure series of 1930s movies.
