Rugby in Vegas? USA Sevens Rugby comes for 3-day tournament

Watch future Olympians compete in the USA Sevens Rugby Tournament in Las Vegas in February.

Rugby doesn't sound like a Las Vegas thing, but it's coming back in February -- for a sixth year.

The 2015 USA Sevens Rugby Tournament will take over the city for three days from Feb. 13 to 15 at the Sam Boyd Stadium.

Fans can check out this variation on traditional rugby which features two seven-player teams battling in 14-minute matches.

During the tournament, 16 of the top international rugby "sevens" teams play 45 matches over three days in an attempt to gain points in the 2014-2015 HSBC Sevens World Series standings.

It's also a chance to see future rugby Olympians in person. International teams tentatively scheduled to compete include: Argentina, Australia, Canada, England, Fiji, France, Japan, Kenya, New Zealand, Portugal, Samoa, Scotland, United States, Uruguay and Wales.

Single-day tickets cost $20 to $381.
