Reba McEntire, Brooks & Dunn to play 12 concerts at Caesars Colosseum

Country music legends Reba McEntire and Brooks & Dunn will join the lineup at Caesars Colosseum, it was announced Wednesday.

No word yet on when or whether Celine Dion will return to the arena where she has performed for more than 3.6 million people since 2003. She cut short her run at the venue to address health concerns.

“Reba, Brooks & Dunn: Together in Vegas” will open June 24, according to the announcement Wednesday. Twelve concerts in June, July and December of 2015 have been scheduled.

The concerts will mark an unanticipated reunion for chart-toppers Brooks & Dunn, who split up in 2009 after 18 years recording together. In 2012, Ronnie Dunn told “CBS This Morning” that although the break-up was amicable, he and Kix Brooks were through.

Tickets, priced from $59.50 to $205, go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday. They can be purchased online or by calling (866) 320-9763.

The country entertainers will join fellow recording artists Elton John and Rod Stewart on the Colosseum calendar. Officials, however, declined to discuss when Dion, for whom the arena was purpose-built, might return to the stage.

Dion announced in August that she was canceling her Caesars shows through at least mid-March. She cited her health and that of her husband, Rene Angelil, who is battling cancer.

Dion’s website doesn’t shed any light on what’s ahead. Under the Tours & Events heading, there is just one sentence: “Sorry, there are no upcoming events.”
