Comedian Nephew Tommy brings laughs to Las Vegas in November

Comedian Nephew Tommy brings his “I Got People Inside My Head” tour to the Pearl at the Palms on Nov. 21.

Thomas Miles, who goes by the stage name Nephew Tommy, co-hosts the syndicated radio show “Steve Harvey Morning Show” with his own cast of characters.

The standup comedian spent three years as the opening act on the Luther Vandross tour, and even served as the main stage host for the Essence Festival in New Orleans, introducing acts such as Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Usher and Kanye West.

Miles recorded a one-hour special at the Motor City Casino in Detroit in 2010.

A theater major from Texas A&M University, Miles has worked in more than a dozen stage plays and studied with the Royal Shakespeare Company of London. Independent films on his resume include 2011’s “N-Secure,” “The Heart Specialist” with Zoe Saldana, “Think Like A Man” in 2012, and in September 2013, a cameo appearance in “Baggage Claim.”

Miles traveled to more than a dozen military bases in the Middle East in 2011 with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff USO Holiday Tour and did a follow-up tour with the USO in 2013.
