Throwback Sizzling Jam slides seven R&B groups into Las Vegas

Keith Sweat, H-Town and more perform on one stage during the Throwback Sizzling Jam

A lineup of seven R&B artists perform their classic hits all on one stage during Throwback Sizzling Jam at the Orleans Arena on July 17. The hit parade includes songs from Frankie J, 112, Dru Hill, Silk, Next and H-Town with a special exclusive performance from Keith Sweat.

Frankie J charted multiple Billboard Top 100 hits including “Don’t Wanna Try,” and he was featured in Baby Bash’s “Suga Suga.” In 2013, he released his album “Faith, Hope y Amor,” which was nominated for best Latin pop album at the 56th Grammy Awards.

R&B quartet 112 members include Quinnes “Q” Parker, Daron Jones, Marvin “Slim” Scandrick and Michael Keith, known for hits such as "Only You," "Anywhere" and the Grammy-nominated single "Peaches and Cream.”

Multi-platinum R&B group Dru Hill recorded seven Top 40 hits, including "In My Bed," "Never Make a Promise" and "How Deep Is Your Love” with Larry “Jazz” Anthony, Tamir “Nokio” Ruffin, Antwuan “Tao” Simpson and lead singer Mark “Sisqo” Andrews.

R&B singers Silk with Tim Cameron, Jimmy Gates, Gary “Big G” Glenn, Jonathen “John-John” Rasboro and Gary “Lil G” Jenkins are best known for their hit singles "Freak Me" and "Happy Days" from their debut album “Lose Control.” 

Next performs their hit songs including “Too Close,” “Wifey” and “I Still Love You.”

H-Town, who won a Soul Train Music Award for best new artist, is known for “Knockin Da Boots.”

Keith Sweat’s songs include his Billboard Hot 100 hits “Twisted,” “Nobody” and “Come and Get With Me” featuring Snoop Dog.

While this show is on tour this summer, Sweat’s only performance for Throwback Sizzling Jam will be in Las Vegas.
