La Cañada home tour tickets on sale

Share

Tickets are on sale now for the annual La Cañada Spring Home Tour, which this year takes place on Friday, May 3 and features local properties in a variety of architectural styles.

“We have four terrific homes lined up for our guests to tour this year,” stated Pati Patao, chairman of this year’s event. “Each of the homes has its own unique style and character with beautiful décor and architectural details. Everyone who attends will enjoy seeing the vision and workmanship of many talented architects, designers, and homeowners. We hope that the community will come out in large numbers to enjoy these gorgeous homes.”

The houses on this year’s tour include a 12,000-square-foot Normandy-style estate home known as Stratford Manor, set on four park-like acres; a classic modern home designed by Richard Lim and built in the 1950s that today boasts a kitchen updated by Eric Lloyd Wright; a new five-bedroom French country chateau, complete with a home theater and a wine cellar; and a Mediterranean-style home that was custom designed for its family and affords breathtaking views of the foothills.

Stratford Manor will host the tour’s luncheon and boutique shopping, accompanied by the sounds of La Cañada High School musicians. The Home Tour Market Place will offer apparel, fashion accessories, home decor items and giftware. All vendors will donate 25% of their sales that day to the LCHS 7/8 PTA. La Cañada retailer The Apple Cart, 1518 Foothill Blvd., will also donate 25% of sales on May 3 to the organization.

Hours for the tour are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The luncheon will be served from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets that are purchased in advance are $40 each and tickets for the catered luncheon are $20 each. Tour tickets will be available for purchase for $45 on the day of the tour at the Home Tour’s Descanso Gardens headquarters, which will open at 10 a.m.
