Was bear injured in the fall?

Take a look at the KTLA news video of the bear that was euthanized in La Cañada on Sunday. The Fish and Game officer shoots the tranquilizer dart while the bear is up in a tree. He falls after the dart takes effect. Did the bear get the injuries from the car accident or from falling from the tree?
