Groups make holiday cards for veterans

Members of both the La Cañada High School Pep Squad and La Cañada Junior Women’s Club worked together to create more than 500 handmade personalized cards recently to be donated to the armed forces as part of the “Holiday Cards for Heroes,” an American Red Cross program.

“It’s a great way for our community to say thanks to the men and women in uniform, as well as those who have already served their country,” stated Nancy Rappard, a member of the Juniors who approached the pep squad with the idea.
