Reader photo: Blood Moon lights up the night sky

Locals waited Monday night for the red hue moon to light up the sky and fall into a total lunar eclipse just after midnight.

Reader Nick Warner sent the La Cañada Valley Sun two shots of the scarlet moon taken with a digital SLR attached to a 4 inch telescope on a tripod on Uintah Street, just west of Angeles Crest Highway.
