St. Francis High School will host the 13th Annual Sports Medicine Competition from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, when students from across the Western U.S. will test their knowledge of sports medicine and athletic training.

The competition will take place at the St. Francis campus, 200 Foothill Blvd., and involve high school students actively involved in a sports medicine program. As of last week, almost 550 students representing 35 schools had signed up to participate in this year’s event.

Eli Hallak, the head certified athletic trainer at St. Francis High School, will also be hosting the Annual High School Sports Medicine Seminar on Tuesday, April 15, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The seminar is scheduled from 12:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. and will be followed by the Los Angeles Clippers versus Denver Nuggets basketball game. All high school students, teachers and athletic trainers are invited to participate.
