Summer beach bus service revs up in the foothills

Beginning on Tuesday, the Summer Beach Bus will ride again, shuttling Crescenta Valley residents directly to Santa Monica Beach.

The bus departs from Memorial Park at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursday, Fridays, Saturdays, and on Labor Day.

La Crescenta residents can pick up the bus at 9:15 a.m. at Two Strike Park, 9:25 a.m. at Los Angeles County Library, near the corner of La Crescenta Avenue and Foothill Boulevard, and Montrose Avenue and Ocean View Boulevard at 9:35 a.m.

Fare is $3 for adults and children and $1.50 for seniors and the disabled. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, and exact fare is required.
