Women’s chorus makes plans for rehearsal

The Verdugo Hills Women’s Chorus, a member of California Women’s Chorus, Inc., will begin its 2014-15 musical season with a rehearsal set for 9 a.m. Sept. 8. Any woman interested in participating in the local chorus is invited to attend. There are no auditions necessary to join the group.

The rehearsal will be held at La Crescenta Presbyterian Church, 2902 Montrose Ave., La Crescenta. The chorus rehearses there on Monday mornings from September through June.

The chorus has been entertaining in the Foothills for more than 60 years and features singers from La Cañada Flintridge, La Crescenta, Pasadena, Altadena, Glendale, Burbank and Sunland-Tujunga. Sharon Schlarb serves as choral director. The chorus is accompanied at rehearsals and performances by Diana Tyson.
