Construction is already underway on a $2 billion residential, retail, hotel and office complex on the site of the former horse racing track. Developers hope to add a stadium, concert hall and entertainment district to the project.

Site feature: Retractable-roof stadium would be adjacent to Staples Center and the Los Angeles Convention Center
Status: AEG has until April to find a football team under an agreement with the city of Los Angeles
