Silversea launches 'Passport to Luxury'

Special Correspondent

Fort Lauderdale-based Silversea Cruises has launched a new "Passport to Luxury" promotion with the addition of 30 new voyages offering Onboard Spending Credits of up to $1,000 per suite ($500 per person), meaning that most voyages (more than 90) in 2011 feature the promotion.

The "Passport to Luxury" lets guests craft their own luxurious experience: pampering spa treatments, a six-course dinner in Le Champagne (a Relais & Chateaux wine restaurant on board) or a private car and driver to explore ashore or other options.

These offers are available on new bookings made by June 30. Among the sailings that feature the $1,000 Onboard Credit is a South America voyage on the Silver Whisper Nov. 26-Dec. 4 from Rio de Janeiro (overnight visit) to Buenos Aires (overnight visit) with calls in Parati, Santos (Sao Paulo), Rio Grande so Sul and Montevideo.

Silver Savings fares start at $4,798. Included are roundtrip air and transfers available from 22 gateway cities in the U.S. and Canada (this is a capacity-controlled program offered for a limited time.Additionally there are specially priced air add-on programs available from another 50 cities).

The Onboard Spending Credit is a capacity-controlled program subject to availability. It is offered per suite, not per voyage and only once to guests sailing on consecutive voyages. Maximum value of Onboard Spending Credit is either $1,000 or $500 per suite, depending on voyage. Single occupancy suites will receive 50 percent of the Onboard Spending Credit. It is valued in U.S. dollars, regardless of booking currency and may not be redeemed for cash and any unused portion will be forfeited.
