Mitch joined FOX 4 in July of 2011. Mitch comes to the Kansas City area from Topeka where he worked at KSNT as an anchor.
He is originally from Junction City, KS and went to college at Fort Hays State University. While in college, Mitch won several Kansas Association of Broadcasters awards.
Even though Kansas is home, Mitch spent 9 years working in several television markets in Wisconsin. He worked in Madison, Green Bay, Wausau and Rhinelander. During his time in the dairy state, Mitch reported on the "first" retirement of legendary Packer Quarterback Brett Favre. In the winter of 2006, Mitch appeared on CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 to report on the record cold in Wisconsin.
Community involvement is very important to Mitch. He has been involved in many charity organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Meals On Wheels, and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
