In the Blue Ridge District William Byrd and Lord Botetourt locked up at Vinton's Bob Patterson Stadium.  Both teams were rested and ready following open dates last Friday night.

Terriers coach Jeff Highfill had a little reason to be concerned early as his group got off to a slow start.

In the 2nd, Botetourt drew first blood as Chris Thompson busted up the left side for the first score of the game, it was 6-0.

On the ensuing two-point conversion, QB Alex Hampton rolled out and threw back to Thomas Kennedy for the deuce and the Cavs were up 8-0.

Later in the 2nd, it was Hampton again, going up top to Austin Oyler for the scoring connection to put the Cavs up two scores right before the half.

Simeon Horseman and Byrd finally would get things going, he got the nice gain here to put the wheels in motion, the start of a big comeback for Big Orange.

The Terriers rallied in the 2nd half to even their record at 3-3 with the 29-22 overtime win over Lord Botetourt.
