WGN Radio News honored by Illinois AP Broadcasters Association

WGN Radio has taken top honors in the Metro Radio division of the Illinois Associated Press Broadcasters Association 2010 Journalism Excellence contest.

The WGN Radio news staff won first place for Outstanding News Operation. It also took the award for Best Newscast, with an entry that included reporting by Jim Gudas, Rob Hart, Orion Samuelson and Dave Eanet. The winning award entries can be heard at wgnradio.com/APawards.

The awards will be presented Saturday, April 16, at the Illinois News Broadcasters Association convention in Rock Island.
