Gary Sinise and Rockin' For The Troops Return to Cantigny Park

(Warrenville, IL) Actor, musician and military supporter Gary Sinise and Naperville based,Operation Support Our Troops - America (OSOT America) will once again join 10,000 of their closest friendsand supporters to "Rock" Cantigny Park in Wheaton on July 16, 2011. "Rockin' For the Troops" in its sixthyear, has raised over two million dollars for families and veterans around the country. Its success haspropelled the small grass roots non profit to the forefront of military advocacy.

OSOT America President, Deb Rickert, gives much of the credit to the "Rockin'" attendees, "thepeople who come out to this event year after year not only provide financial support for military programs tosupport the soldiers and their families, but also emotional support letting the country know that our militaryand their families are not forgotten"

There are new additions planned for this year's event, most notably, the "10,000 Points of Light"commemoration. Each year the event ends with Gary Sinise's band (The Lt. Dan Band) performing theirversion of "Proud to Be an American". This year, every attendee will be given a small LED light thatattaches to the finger to illuminate the night sky as the song plays.

The goal is not only to raise money for the efforts of many great organizations, but to create a daylong atmosphere of support and recognition for military and their families. Proceeds from the event support a number of initiatives sponsored by OSOT-America.
