The sun finally came out and on Sunday the Krewe of Iris, Krewe of Okeanos, and Krewe of Mid-City, Krewe of NOMTOC, and Krewe of Thoth rolled.

Former Saints Player, Steve Gleason and his family never miss Thoth.  Their spot to watch the parade every Mardi Gras is at St. Charles Avenue and 7th.

"It's great to be part of a family and celebrate the city way they do.  It's beautiful to see so many local people out here,"  Gleason said.

Gleason, who suffers from ALS, rode in Endymion's parade on Saturday night.  Gleason said nothing compares to the excitement of Mardi Gras.

"To me, Mardi Gras is a very unique part of the city and it's all about the celebration of life,"  Gleason said.

Gleason along with so many other parade-goers couldn't help but be electrified by the good times.

"You never know what tomorrow brings.  Live for today," he said.
