Tuesday Night Harvey Murder Suspect Arrested

As the investigation into the shooting death of Van Vo, the Asian male who was shot and killed last night in the 1100 block of Tallow Tree Lane in Harvey continued, Jefferson Parish Homicide detective Solomon Burke arrested Cody Vedol, B/M, 21, of 7000 block of Rue Louis Phillipe in Marrero and charged him with one count of Second Degree Murder in the shooting death of Vo.

Based on information developed during this investigation, Cody Vedol and a group of other black males were seen running into an apartment on Tallow Tree Lane. Homicide investigators, believing the subjects remained inside of apartment #10, prepared a search warrant for that address.

Upon execution of the search warrant at apartment 10 investigators located five individuals inside. They are identified as Charles Lorio, B/M 27; Cody Vedol, B/M, 21; Robert Lorio, B/M, 29; Brandon Vedol, B/M, 24; and Terrell Thomas, B/M, 19.

All five individuals were transported to the JPSO Criminal Investigations Bureau for questioning. It was at that time Cody Vedol confessed to shooting Vo. Vedol claimed he shot Vo over an altercation believed to be related to narcotics.
